Umeshu: A Japanese Plum Liqueur
Wholesome Local Cuisine
Kinkumaji Umeshu: A Plum Liqueur Cherished by Locals
The Kinkumaji Plum Grove has been cherished since the Edo period. Grown without pesticides and carefully cultivated by hand, the Kinkumaji plum is known for its small pit and generous flesh, and has long been enjoyed locally for making umeboshi, Japan’s traditional salted plums. Now, for the first time, its long‑loved flavour has been captured in a new form: a plum liqueur slowly infused with premium sake to draw out the fruit’s true depth. We invite you to experience “Kinkumaji,” a liqueur that brings together tradition and a fresh expression of the plum’s character.
A Plum Liqueur for Beauty and Balance
Plum liqueur is naturally rich in citric acid and polyphenols, qualities often associated with gentle benefits for beauty and vitality.
It is said that many centenarians value “moderate drinking” not only for the elements found in alcohol, but also for the calm moments of warmth and connection it can offer.
We hope you enjoy a glass that enriches both the palate and the time shared with others.
Please remember to drink in moderation.
