Asa Coast Railway
DMV stands for “Dual Mode Vehicle,” and this is the world’s first fully operational commercial service. Modified from a microbus and equipped with steel wheels for rail travel, it switches modes in just 15 seconds — becoming a train on rails and a bus on roads. It operates on the route connecting Kaiyo Town in Tokushima Prefecture and Toyo Town in Kochi Prefecture.
