Kyusendo Cave

Discovered in 1973 by the Ehime University Academic Exploration Club, Kyusendo is one of the largest caves in mainland Kyushu, stretching approximately 5,000 meters in total length. The cave is filled with globally rare stalactite formations and brimming with mysterious appeal. Please enjoy the natural artistry shaped by 300 million years of Earth’s history to your heart’s content.

Ice-cold, crystal-clear groundwater flows deep underground, eventually emptying into the Kuma River in vast quantities. The natural artistry created by Earth over 300 million years is absolutely breathtaking!

Mori no Kabo (Forest Fragrance Hall)

The adjacent facility houses Hinata, a specialty shop for bread and honey; Hana Kabo, a soft-serve cafe offering original soft-serve ice cream along with drinks and food; and the Kyusendo Mont-bell Corner, which sells Mont-bell products as well as Kyusendo original merchandise.

The Kyusendo Friend Antenna Shop is a cooperative shop where local businesses sell specialty products from the Kuma region. The Kuma Village Forestry Cooperative, which operates Kyusendo, is a group of forestry experts. Yama Kabo is their specialty shop for forestry and outdoor goods.
