[EVENT] “SUMO EXPO Women-Only Sumo Tournament in Osaka” on Saturday, November 14, 2026.

CaNCaRaCaN Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Yoshito Murakoshi), which operates “Sumo Yokocho” in Shinsekai, Osaka, in collaboration with the Osaka Convention & Tourism Bureau (Chairman: Hiroshi Mizohata) and The World-Connecting SUMO Promotion Council (Chairman: Hiroshi Mizohata), will host a major event titled “SUMO EXPO Women-Only Sumo Tournament” on Saturday, November 14, 2026.

The event aims to promote the appeal of sumo across nationalities, genders, and generations, while fostering tourism development, regional exchange, and international friendship.

This event will bring to Osaka, for the first time, the Osaka edition of the renowned Women-Only Sumo Tournament, a traditional event held every year on Mother’s Day in May in Fukushima Town, Hokkaido, which attracts considerable attention from across Japan.

Applications for participants will be accepted through the SUMO EXPO website starting on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. We encourage everyone interested to apply.
