On July 28th, 2026, a large earthquake struck Kumamoto Prefecture, which is located in the southern area of the country known as Kyushu. The Japan Tourism Agency is providing the latest, most accurate details about transportation and the operation status of accommodations/tourism facilities in Kumamoto Prefecture as well as the surrounding Kyushu region (in Japanese only).
